Shack the Halls is committed to making shackthehalls.com usable by everyone, regardless of ability or technology. We build and test this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 (opens in a new window) Level AA.
What We’ve Done
- Full keyboard navigation, with visible focus indicators and a skip-to-content link
- Text alternatives for all images and accessible labels on all controls
- Color contrast meeting or exceeding AA on every text/background combination
- Pause controls on all slideshows and background video, with no content that flashes
- Full support for the “reduce motion” system preference — animation is disabled entirely when it’s on
- Forms with clear labels, large touch targets, and descriptive error messages
Third-Party Content
Reservations are processed on Resy and our printable menu is hosted on SimpleBooklet. We don’t control those experiences and they may not meet the same standard. If you have difficulty using them, contact us and we’ll gladly help directly.
